Department of Environmental Planning at Graduate School of Environmental
Studies(GSES) at Seoul National University (SNU) in South Korea is looking
for a person who can teach and research "International Planning and
Development" from global perspectives. The department consists of three
majors: Urban and Regional Planning, Transportation Planning, and
Environmental Management. The position affiliates to the major of Urban and
Regional Planning.
It is a tenure-track position. To
enhance SNU's internationalization, candidate's formal nationality should
not be Korean. From next Spring, the person is expected to teach 2 classes
(of course, in English) per semester and to participate actively GSES
globalization programs.
Salary depends on candidate's
career. People with research and teaching career less than 2 years after
getting Ph.D. degree usually get about $50,000 (after tax and health
insurance) a year. The person should already have Ph.D. degree. In-campus
housing is available: Deposit varies from about $1450 (64 m2) to
$ 3430 (136 m2) and monthly rent from $480 (64 m2) to
$1182(136 m2).
